Lets start from the beginning of our wonderful trip to Central Europe.
The Countries we were about to visit are Hungary, Austria and the Czech Republic.
We waked up early in the morning, as we were going to Serbia by road and to be more specific to Paraćin to stay for the night, which was our first stop before we headed to Budapest, Hungary. So we had a long trip ahead. After a few stops including the passport control at Gevgelija, then we took the road to our Hotel Petrus to Paraćin, which is almost 1hour and 40min from Belgrade the capital and largest city of Serbia. The trip lasted almost 15 hours, so by the time we were in town, it was night time. Luckily for us we were on time for dinner, which was served at the hotel and then we had the chance to have a first contact with the town, which is located at the Pomoravlje District of Central Serbia.
The next morning after our breakfast, we started our trip with an intermediate stop in Belgrade, unfortunately we did not have enough time to see a lot of things, mostly with the bus and first a quick stop at the Cathedral of Saint Sava and two hours free time to explore the city.
I have to say that from our quick tour by bus, we saw a few ruins from Belgrade bombing.
Although it was 18 years ago the recovery continues.
Our second stop was at Belgrade Fortress, it is the most visited tourist attraction in Belgrade, with Skadarlija being the second. Kalemegdan is one of the most beautiful places of Beograd. So if you want to see a very beautiful fortress, with park, ruins, big towers and of course an amazing view of Novi Beograd, Sava and Dunav river all you have to do is to visit Kalemegdan.
Here are some pictures from our visit to all those places I mentioned above and from our lovely group of six and of course from our new friends that we met during our seven days trip to Central Europe:
